Psalms 9: 1-2

I WILL praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart;  I will show forth all thy marvellous works.
I will be glad and rejoice in thee:  I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
At the heart of every believer's relationship with God is the requirement to praise Him.  Praising God can take place in a variety of ways.  Praise is a keynote in the corporate worship of God's people.  Both in corporate worship setting and in other places, the singing of songs, hymns, and spiritual songs is a way to express praise to God.  Praise can be sung with the mind, with the Spirit and with instruments.  We can also communicate praise by telling others of the wonderful acts and deeds of our God.  David, a good example, experienced God's forgiveness, was eager to tell others about what the Lord had done for him.

Why do we praise?
   We praise for many reasons:
a.  simply because of the splendor, glory and majesty of God.
b.  because we experience God's mighty acts
c.  because of deliverance in our personal lives
d.  because of God's continual providential care and provisions
    for us everyday.
